5 Business Challenges Packaging Suppliers Can Address at RosUpack 2027

5 Business Challenges Packaging Suppliers Can Address at RosUpack 2027

Packaging manufacturers and suppliers may be looking for new customers, wider market reach, or stronger industry partnerships. Exhibiting gives companies a way to work towards these objectives while presenting their products directly to industry professionals.

RosUpack 2027 will take place from 15 to 18 June 2027 at Crocus Expo IEC, Pavilions 2 and 3, Moscow. The exhibition covers machinery, materials, finished packaging, labelling, recycling technologies, and warehousing systems.

Here are five business challenges companies can focus on when planning their participation.

Challenge 1: Finding New B2B Leads

Reaching potential customers can take time, particularly when a supplier serves several industries.

According to the official RosUpack 2026 results, the exhibition welcomed 28,888 unique visitors from 46 countries and 82 Russian regions. The audience included professionals from food and drink manufacturing, retail and wholesale, pharmaceuticals, industrial goods, printing, labelling, and other packaging-related sectors.

RosUpack also reports that 89% of exhibitors found new clients and partners at the 2026 edition. This is a historical result and may not indicate what every exhibitor will achieve in 2027.

Challenge 2: Meeting Relevant Buyers

Exhibitors also need to know whether an event attracts professionals interested in sourcing products and suppliers.

The 2026 results show that 78% of visitors attended to find manufacturers and suppliers, while 68% came with the aim of signing direct procurement contracts.

At the stand, suppliers can discuss product specifications, applications, supply requirements, and other commercial or technical details. Machinery manufacturers can demonstrate equipment, while packaging and materials suppliers can use samples to present formats, finishes, and product characteristics.

Challenge 3: Exploring New Markets

Companies looking beyond their established markets may want to assess demand in different regions or industries before committing further resources.

RosUpack's 2026 audience came from 82 Russian regions and 46 countries. Visitors also represented industries ranging from food and drink and pharmaceuticals to retail, consumer goods, and industrial manufacturing.

Meeting professionals from different markets gives exhibitors a chance to discuss where their products may be relevant and learn more about customer requirements. These conversations do not guarantee market entry or sales, but they may identify areas worth exploring after the exhibition.

Challenge 4: Developing Industry Partnerships

Some companies may be looking for distributors, suppliers, technology partners, or other commercial relationships alongside direct customers.

RosUpack reports that 84% of exhibitors met existing clients and partners during the 2026 edition. The exhibition's eight product sectors also cover different parts of the packaging chain, including raw materials, packaging and production machinery, finished packaging, labelling, pulp and paper, recycling equipment, and warehousing systems.

Meetings can cover areas such as distribution, supply arrangements, technical cooperation, and future projects, depending on the businesses involved.

Challenge 5: Presenting Products in Person

Some packaging products and machinery benefit from being seen or discussed in person. Equipment demonstrations can show how machinery operates, while physical samples allow visitors to examine packaging formats, materials, finishes, and other product characteristics.

Exhibitors can focus their displays on the products most relevant to their target customers. Reviewing the current RosUpack sectors can also help companies decide where their products fit within the exhibition.

RosUpack 2027 will take place from 15 to 18 June 2027 at Crocus Expo IEC, Pavilions 2 and 3, Moscow.
